Draft BID notes with AI is now available to all brokers

Writing Best Interests Duty commentary that explains why a recommendation suits this particular client takes time, even when everything you need is already on the file. Draft with AI, previously available through the Insider Program pilot, is now available to all brokers in Mercury Nexus.

What’s changed

  • Drafts written from the file: each BID comment is drafted from the opportunity’s details, notes, questionnaire answers and product comparison, fresh for that client. It is not a template, and wording is not reused from file to file.
  • Checks before drafting: anything that would make your comments wrong or incomplete is flagged first, such as a missing reason for not recommending the cheapest option.
  • Contradictions shown: if the file says two different things about the client, you’ll see both and where each came from, so you can fix the opportunity first.
  • Gaps marked, not guessed: where the file doesn’t hold enough information, the draft needs you to complete.

You stay responsible for your BID notes

Draft with AI gives you a starting point, not a finished BID commentary. You review every response, edit anything that isn’t accurate or doesn’t sound like you, and approve each section as your own. Nothing is saved to the opportunity until you approve each answer and finalise.

Why it matters

You start from a draft that is specific to the client rather than a blank page or a reused template, and the checks catch gaps and contradictions before they reach your BID notes.

What you need to do

No setup needed. Draft with AI is available on every opportunity.
