Client Portal update: New access and features

The new Client Portal continues to gain momentum, delivering a 39% uplift in completion rates compared to the former Client Centre.

Need a refresher? Read these Wiki articles to learn how to navigate the updated Client Portal.

What’s new?

You can now access the Client Portal directly from its own tab in the left-hand panel of your Opportunity. This gives you one clear, streamlined space to manage client requests from start to finish.

You can also edit client details, set expiry dates and view submitted client documents all directly within the Client Portal!

Coming soon

You may notice a few additional tabs visible in the Client Portal that aren’t clickable yet. These features are launching soon:

  • Request Overview – A summary of your client’s request progress
  • Review Returned Docs – Approve or reject client documents directly in the Portal
  • Activity – A clear history of request updates and key actions

We look forward to sharing more soon. As always, your feedback helps shape the Client Portal. Share your thoughts at clientportal@connective.com.au.

Lender update - ME Bank product changes

Please be advised that ME Bank products have been updated in Mercury Nexus and old products are no longer available.

We have identified that any product comparison created prior to this update may still contain the old ME Bank products. These legacy products are no longer current and should not be used.

What do you need to do?

If you have existing comparisons that include ME Bank products and were generated before the changeover on 27 January 2026, please review them immediately. The old products will need to be removed and replaced with the newly updated ME Bank products now available in Mercury Nexus.

This will ensure all comparisons remain accurate and aligned to current product settings.

Update to Tax File Number (TFN) redaction confirmation emails

As you know, Privacy Legislation requires you to redact Tax File Numbers (TFNs) from client documents that you store.

When you request a Tax File Number (TFN) redaction in Mercury Nexus, the redacted document is saved against the relevant opportunity under ‘attachments’ so you have a secure record on file.

What’s changing?

From today, you’ll no longer receive a copy of the redacted file in your confirmation email once a request is completed. This avoids duplicates and ensures all files are securely stored in Mercury Nexus.

Click here to learn how to redact TFN’s in Mercury Nexus.

Update: New Borrowing Capacity Calculator

In case you missed it – we launched the new Borrowing Capacity Calculator last year. Since then, we’ve continued to refine it based on member feedback.

Update: You can now save your borrowing capacity calculations when you access the new calculator outside an opportunity. This means you can explore options during your initial client conversations, keep a record of your work, and move faster when the deal progresses.

How does it work?

  1. Access the calculator via the Mercury Nexus dashboard, CRM dashboard or the Research App.
  2. After completing your calculation, click Save.
  3. Your results will then be stored in the Research App.
  4. When you’re ready, you can attach that saved calculation to an opportunity.

Click here for a quick guide on how you can save and attach your borrowing capacity calculation to an opportunity.

Document requests, shared documents & DigiSign are now live in the Client Portal

You can now manage document requests, shared documents and digital signatures directly in the new Client Portal, completing the end-to-end client journey in one place.

With this update, brokers can:

  • Request documents from clients
  • Share important documents like credit guides and fact sheets
  • Collect digital signatures via DigiSign

Previously, clients completed their personal and financial details in the new Client Portal, then had to move back to the old Client Centre to manage documents and signatures. Now, everything happens in one place - creating a seamless experience.

Update: Connective Select commissions payment delay

We have been advised by Bendigo Bank of a further delay to commissions for the Select product relating to the December period. While we had expected this issue to be resolved by 30 January, and included in our secondary payment run, this will now not occur.

Once the issue has been resolved, we will process a one-off payment run. Further communication will be shared as soon as timing is confirmed.

If you have any further questions, please reach out to the Connective Commissions team at comms@connective.com.au

Thank you for your patience and understanding!
