Enhanced Product Fee Transparency with New Document Merge Tag Functionality

We’re excited to announce an enhancement to the way the «tableInsert:includes:5:productFees»  tag works in your document Merge Templates!

This improvement ensures that all applicable fees for a selected product are now displayed in a single, clear table, helping you provide clients with complete and transparent information, without requiring any changes to your existing templates.

What’s New?

Previously, the «tableInsert:includes:5:productFees»  tag in your document merge templates only rendered the Application Fee and Valuation Fee in the generated tables. With this update, any newly merged document will now automatically include additional fees under a new "Other Fees" row.

Details of the Update:

  • No action is required from you. Your existing templates will automatically render the updated fee structure when merged again.
  • Additional fees (such as discharge fees, lock-in rates, renegotiation fees, etc.) will appear under the new Other Fees section.
  • Only fees with values greater than $0.00 will be displayed for clarity and simplicity.

How It Works

  1. Existing Templates using the tag «tableInsert:includes:5:productFees» :

    • The updated feature integrates seamlessly into your current Summary of Requirements and other document using the above tag.
    • You can as well add the above tag to any of your other templates to generate a table as below (sample).
    • No updates or changes to your templates are necessary.
  2. Fee Breakdown:

    • The generated table now includes:
      • Application Fee
      • Valuation Fee
      • Other Fees (e.g., discharge fees, deferred establishment fees, etc.)
  3. Sample rendered table

Why is this Important?

  1. Transparency for Clients:

    • Ensures clients are fully informed of all applicable fees upfront.
  2. No Additional Effort for Brokers:

    • Existing templates continue to work as before, with the additional fees seamlessly included.
  3. Enhanced Compliance and Clarity:

    • Avoids any ambiguity by displaying all applicable fees in a clear, consistent format.

What’s Next?

This update is live and requires no action from you. Simply generate your documents as usual, and the new fee structure will automatically be applied.

We’d love to hear what you think! Share your feedback and suggestions through the Idea Portal.

Enhanced Table and Column Labels for CRM Tasks Module

We are excited to introduce a small but effective improvements to the Tasks module within the CRM. These updates are designed to enhance usability and reduce confusion, ensuring you can work more efficiently.

Key Updates

  • New Column Header for Checkbox: The checkbox column now has a header labeled “Status” in the column customization view.
  • Checkbox Label: A label “Completed” has been added next to the checkbox for better clarity. This label appears consistently in both Outstanding and Completed task tabs. Checking this checkbox will mark the task as Complete.
  • To select multiple tasks, hold down the Ctrl key on a PC (or Command key on a Mac) and click on individual rows. To select a range, click on the first row, hold down the Shift key (same on both PC and Mac), and click on the last row in the range. Both methods allow you to easily use the new bulk action features.

Other tables across the CRM have also been enhanced by removing unnecessary columns and adding clearer, more meaningful labels, allowing you to better understand and customize your columns.

We believe this update will make managing your tasks easier and more efficient.

Streamline Task Management with New Bulk Edit Actions in Nexus CRM

This update introduces the ability to perform bulk edits on tasks, allowing you to delegate, set priorities, and update due dates for multiple tasks in one go—saving time and improving workflow efficiency.

Key Bulk Actions:

  • Delegate Tasks: Assign or reassign tasks to team members effortlessly by selecting multiple tasks at once, streamlining workflows and collaborations.

  • Update Due Dates: Easily modify due dates on selected tasks to keep timelines accurate and organized across the board.

How It Works:

    • Go to the Tasks section in your CRM.

Note: Selecting multiple tasks can be done by holding the Ctrl (Command key on Mac) and clicking on the rows.

Enhanced Search Functionality in Nexus CRM’s Opportunity Notes

We are excited to announce an enhancement to the Nexus CRM platform's search functionality within Opportunity Notes. This update aims to make it easier for you to track vital client information, regardless of formatting within the notes.

Current Behavior and Limitations

In the existing setup, the search function within Opportunity Notes is limited to the unformatted text displayed directly in the "Note" column. If a note contains formatted text or any more complex content, such as bullet points, that content has not been searchable, meaning important information may be overlooked during keyword searches.

What’s Changing

With this improvement, you can search for any keywords within the entire note’s content—regardless of formatting, font styles, colors, or other stylistic elements. Whether it’s alphanumeric characters or special characters, the search function now scans the entire content of each note, ensuring that all relevant information is accessible. The new search is case-insensitive, meaning that you only need to search for the keyword without worrying about how it's been written in the note.

Expected Benefits

This change means you can now locate information faster and more comprehensively, eliminating the frustration of missing vital information due to formatting. For example, if you search for the word “Cloud” within an Opportunity Note, the search will yield results even if the term appears in a formatted list or all the way down inside the note's content.

We hope this enhancement adds value to your workflow.

Regards

Mercury Nexus Product Team

New email template functionality in your CRM

We’re excited to announce the latest enhancements to Nexus CRM, designed to improve your email communication and create a more personalised experience for your clients.

These updates to the email templates allow you to include more details automatically and enhance the professionalism of your email communications. Here’s an overview of what’s new:

1. New email tags

You can now include additional details from the opportunity and sender directly into your email templates, allowing you to easily provide more context and personalised information. These new tags can be used in both the subject line and body of your emails.

New tags available:

  • Sender Information: Add sender details such as first name, last name, and phone numbers.

    • {{senderFirstname}}
    • {{senderLastname}}
    • {{sender_phone_mobile}}
    • {{sender_phone_home}}
  • Applicant Information: Add multiple applicant details to personalise subject lines and email bodies.

    • {{applicantFullName1}}, {{applicantFirstName1}}, {{applicantLastname1}}, {{applicantSalutation1}} (also available for applicant 2 and 3)

2. Default use of preferred names

You can now use the Preferred Name of your client when creating email templates. If your client has a preferred name, it will automatically be used in place of the first name. If no preferred name is provided, the first name will be used as a fallback.

For example, if you use the tag {{firstName}} in your templates, it will check for the client’s preferred name first and apply it where available.

3. How to use the new tags

These new tags are available everywhere in the CRM where email templates are used, including:

  • Admin > CRM Settings > Email Templates
  • Auto-action EMAIL Templates

Simply add these merge tags in the appropriate sections, and they will be rendered when the email is sent.

4. Example of using these new tags

Let’s say you want to send a loan update email. You can now use tags to create a personalised subject line such as:

Subject Line Example:
“Hi {{applicantFirstName1}}, attached is your loan application update from {{senderFirstname}}.”

This will dynamically pull in the client’s first name and the broker’s details, making your communication smooth and professional.

We believe these new features will streamline your email communications and help you create more meaningful connections with your clients. As always, if you have any suggestions, feel free to reach out to us via the Mercury Nexus Idea Portal.

Best regards,
The Nexus Product Team
