Consent to Credit Check

Great time-saving news!

We've added a new Needs Analysis that includes a consent to credit check. Now when you choose a questionnaire you will have the option to pick the existing Needs Analysis, or one with the consent to run a credit check

This will streamline your initial interactions with clients and save you the hassle of having to send a seperate consent form, ultimately freeing up your time.

We're listening to our users - CRM has a new look!

You've probably noticed that the CRM has a new look. These small but significant updates are in response to the feedback we've received from users around the look and feel of the platform, and they go a long way towards making Mercury Nexus easy to navigate, easier to read and bring a sense of completeness to the CRM.

We're focussing on the Commissions app next. With some more substantial updates to bring it in line with the rest of the platform and make it a whole lot more user-friendly.

Good news! Mercury Nexus now integrates directly with Loanapp.

You can now lodge applications to Loanapp directly from Mercury Nexus. This means all your loan applications can be managed from the one place.

Loanapp is used to lodge applications to:
  • 86 400
  • ANZ
  • Better Mortgage Manager
  • Connective Essentials
  • CitiBank
  • La Trobe Financial
  • P&N Bank
  • RedZed
Please note, any applications that were created in M5 and launched into Loanapp will need to be completed in M5. However, if you have created an application and it has not yet been submitted to Loanapp, then you can open in Nexus and pick up where you left off.

Visit the Connective Wiki to learn more about this new Nexus Feature.

Storing lender passwords in Mercury

We know many members are using Mercury 5 to store lender passwords. Please note this will feature will not be available in Mercury Nexus and we will be removing it from Mercury 5 on 1 September 2021.

So how are you supposed to remember your strong, unique passwords?

We recommend using a password manager to keep track of your passwords.

A password manager is an online tool that creates unique passwords and auto fills the credentials every time you revisit the site. Password managers also allow you to safely share passwords with team members and clients, with the ability to quickly edit and revoke access as required.

When choosing a password manager you should always:

  • Conduct research to ensure the password manager is from a reputable vendor
  • Conduct research to ensure the password manager is maintained by the vendor with regular security updates
  • Protect the password manager with its own strong and memorable passphrase.

The most popular password managers in Australia include LastPass, Keeper, Dashlane, 1Password and NordPass.

Create Quarterly Commission Statements

From the Commissions App you can quickly create quarterly commissions statements to assist with tax, BAS and other reporting requirements.

Head over to Commissions > Commission Statements and simply drag the columns you want to group into the task bar.

This will create an expandable summary row, including the total for each group.

You can change the grouping, by changing the order you add items to the task bar.

You can also use the filter to eliminate unnecessary data.
